Missing frame in 1.5.0.6

Portable Firefox 1.5.0.4 displays a quickquote frame for schwab.com. So does 1.5.0.6 regular Firefox. Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6 does not show this frame. Why? What do I need to change? No extensions run on any of these. No changes from the default set-up, except to not close tab bar with only site open.

Huh?

What is this "quickquote"? The stock quotes on the side of the front page?
Maybe because the cache is disabled, but unlikely... maybe JavaScript is disabled.

You like the tab open all the time too? I thought I was alone Wink

Quick quote

The quick quote is just a separate frame at the bottom of the page. Changing between version 1.5.0.4 and 1.5.0.6 and back causes the frame to appear, disappear and reappear without any changes (except closing and opening each version).

Can you check the source

Make sure it isn't generated by Javascript.

No javascript

Source is below without the angle brackets; no javascript that I see. Would it make a difference when just switching back and forth between the two versions?

frameset frameborder="yes" framespacing="0" rows="*,40"
frame name="body" src="/public/schwab/home/client.html" noresize="true" frameborder="no"
frame name="quickquote" src="/public/schwab/nn/delayed_search.html" noresize="true" scrolling="no" frameborder="no"
/frameset

It shouldn't

I can't see anything wrong. Get a virgin copy and try it again.

Portable Firefox 1.5.0.6 vs Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6

It's solved (for now at least). The frame is missing in Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6. In Portable Firefox 1.5.0.6 everything is fine. I thought I had updated 1.5.0.4 Portable Firefox to .6. Actually I had downloaded Firefox Portable 1.5.0.6 directly. Going back to Portable Firefox 1.5.0.4 and letting it update to .6 maintains the frame as it should be.
