when i try to go to myspace.com it sends me to a paid survey site... it only does that when i try to go to myspace.com.... why? what do i need to do to get around that?

yeah.. i'm using portable firefox to try to get on there and it sends me to a paid survey site...
Most likely, the PC you are using has spyware that has edited the PC's host file. This allows it to set any site to go to any web server it wants. It's independent of Firefox Portable and at the machine level. You'll need to disinfect the machine using the usual array of anti-spyware tools.
