You can download it as abandon ware then just play it through Dosbox portable (See apps page) or as I recommend use D-Fend Reloaded. Its a GUI for Dosbox that makes playing games a lot easier.
Hope that helps

like the title of this post says thanxs for the info. But i was wondering how i could make a portable copy of it using dosbox and a copy of warcraft. i do it my self but i don't know how to set it up and writing the scripts needed if there r any needed. I'm sort of really new to making apps. if i could figure out how i love to help make some. so that it acts like a actual portable app. where it shows up in the portable app client and such.

There is a PAF version of D-Fend Reloaded at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/dfendreloaded/D-Fend-Reloaded-0.8.0-Por...
You can download Warcraft 1 and 2 from most abandonware sites but I wont link here as it is a grey area legally I believe. D-Fend has great templates and Wizards to make instlling a breeze so give it a go
Hopefully a dev here will pick up their PAF version and polish it as its a great app and Open Source

It's not a grey area at all. It's still illegal to download the game. There is no actual legal meaning to the term abandonware - it's a creation of geeks to make themselves feel that it is OK to download old software while allowing them to say "I would never pirate" in regards to more easily purchased or more modern games.
Note that I don't care if people want to download the stuff or not - it it not my job to control what others do. I just feel an obligation to point out that it is still illegal, even with the geek-approved abandonware title applied.
srry i moved what i had here
