Songbird problem

Each time I change a title of a song which had polish diacritical marks to an ascii version, I get this info:

"Unable to manage your imported or updated items, please check the Media Management folder exists and is writable."

(but the title changes)

What does it mean? Do I loose anything?

Songbird issue

This sounds like it's an issue with Songbird itself; you might like to report it to them. You could also check to see if it works with a local installation of Songbird, that way you can verify if the problem is with Songbird or with Songbird Portable. I would expect it to (not) work the same way with Songbird.

It's unlikely to lose any data other than possibly the renaming (does it stay renamed after you restart Songbird?

The renaming is successful

The renaming is successful and it stays there, the message is simply annoying as I have to click OK button before I can do something else in Songbird. And it pops up a few seconds after the change, not immediately, and not always...

This sounds like it's most

This sounds like it's most likely an issue with songbird and not the portablization. I would report the issue to them.

You are not alone...

...same problem here but using other language.
I think SongBird only will be 100% portable (...er 90% will do :-)) with some changes on the "Core".
Are the SongBird comunity interested on going Portable?
