This is how you put everything together:

How to put the game launcher and game files together
Step 1. download the windows game files and the launcher program.
Step 2. install the portable apps opensonic launcher to where ever.
Step 3. extract the opensonic game files and copy all the game files.
Step 4. place them in the opensonic directory of the launcher.
Step 5. There you go it should be all set up and work.

@ the moment it is not legally possible to do so. As far as i know. but i may be wrong. If i am wrong would someone be willing to help me make it into a paf live downloading app or tell me how to do so. because i don't know how lol.

It is open source and licensed under the GPL, as noted here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensnc/ It should be possible to redistribute it as long as you include the GPL, as John Haller does with pretty much all of his PortableApps projects.

im not so sure i can due to the fact they currently have copyrighted images from the original sonic game. until this issue is solved i will not be distributing the game files with the launcher.

they are hoping to get a grafics artist to help them but since they are students and dont have the cash to pay for one. they have to use the copyrighted ones till someone will offer to help them.

i changed both icons u sure. did u try a clean install?
EDIT: i just downloaded the installer from sourceforge and installed the client to my desktop. the icons are both the ones you made me so you probally have to do a clean install.

error in the nsi cause when you look at it in windows exploder it has the old icon but under properties it has my ico didn't because i think there's some thing you need to change in the nsi

and clean up the thumbnails i believe cuz it looks like that but when u preview it it is the real picture. It should be all right cuz i tested it on another cumputer and i saw the pics you made me.

for some reason i cant get it to work. if someone could check the Opensonic.nsi and oslauncher.nsi files and see why it isnt working?

On the SF page, click on develop, then hover over develop, then click statistics, and you will see downloads

Being open source couldn't you create a ZIP of the required files and host it for now and link a PAF Live installer to that link? And maybe submit the ZIP to the main developer with a note of why it is beneficial for him to have it?
