Eraser Context Menu

Hi,

I asked elsewhere on this site whether the context menu is functional with the portable version of Eraser & was told that it was not, but that someone in this forum might be able to help with a workaround? I use the right-click to secure move & erase all the time, but it is not visible for the portable version on my machine (Windows XP SP2) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Hi! The reason I posted

Hi!

The reason I posted requesting that you add this to the other apps forum is because giving support in a news story is frowned on.

Now:

What you need is this PortableFileAssociator It was written by wraithdu and is fairly straight forward.

If you use the menu beta, you can also set the sendto's to be installed automatically. (By telling the menu to autorun the FileAssociator).

Re: Hi! The reason I posted

Thanks for taking the time to respond OliverK - it took me a while to figure out, but this is a very good substitute for the real thing.

Cheers,
David

Crappy documentation

Seems pretty piss-poor if it takes a long time to work out; maybe it needs better documentation?

shove off

why don't you try writing the program. I thought the GUI was pretty easy to use.

Wraithdu's work has long gone under appreciated. Have you tried to write documentation? Have you ever even wrote a application? Let alone the documentation?

Got news for you, we're pretty open here at the site. You got a question, need help, we'll try to help you get an answer. I've personally spent an hour of my time helping one individual try to fix his firefox install. He couldn't, but that wasn't our fault. Other fellows have spent time helping other people who came asking.

And we tried. IF the OP had had trouble, he could have posted I would have again tried to help. Or maybe somebody else would have had what he needed and just posted some code for him.

All you ever do is make comments about how bad the site is, how bad the apps are, etc. Why don't you go somewhere else. I've been here for two years and the system has worked thus far. Are you trying to see how much it takes to piss off a moderator?

You didn't need to make this point. Probably half a dozen times this week I was going to post a comment by decided not to because it wouldn't do anything to help or cause some humorous levity to the situation.

So before you post again, why don't you just ask yourself it the post will help in ANY WAY AT ALL.

Is this guy just listless with a different name?

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

What we need

is a portable text analyzer that compares writing styles to banned users. Smile

Well

OliverKAre you trying to see how much it takes to piss off a moderator?

You can count me as pissed off, I did warn jamcomm in a post a few days ago, but these posts are now too much for me, if I had a temporary ban hammer I would be swinging it now, please John can we do something, this is a clear violation of the Guidelines. I agree wholeheartedly with OliverK here, calling a developers work pretty piss-poor when he puts so much work into the site is too much.

BOLD TEXT WARNING!

BE CAREFUL!

THERE'S AN AWFUL LOT OF PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT THE USE FO BOLD TEXT AND ITALICS MEANS YOU'RE SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF YOUR VOICE!

YES, I KNOW IT'S STUPID, BUT BE WARNED!

(NO BOLD TEXT WAS HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST)
