Check disk...

Every time I put my memory stick into the computer, it starts the check disk thing, saying i did not remove it properly...

But, I ALWAYS make a point of safely removing it.

It always tells of fixed issues and how files are put into a folder called 'Found' which, ironically cannot be found, because it doesn't exist.

I have tried both removal methods to no avail:

-left click of safely remove icon in tray.
-right click of safely remove icon in tray. (i.e. the same method the menu uses)

With both methods I get the same result.

I don't think it is anything to do with the menu, because even without starting it I get the errors...

Am I losing my memory stick and need a new one? - I hope not...

Quirk

I think it's a quirk. Best idea is to click on it every once in a while, but click Ignore for the rest of the time.
I believe it would have something to do with Vista's drive indexing.

Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.

yes, if its vista, it will do that. I don't know why, since I think I did the scan once and it didn't help Sad

Ok, thank you both. Will just put up with it for now

Update: I checked both options on the check disk popup and let it work away...
It seems to have solved it, for now...don't know how long it will last though...
