I would like to be able to install multiple versions of Firefox on my Portable Apps thumb drive.
Specifically, I'd like to install 3 and 3.5, but they both seem to use the same directory. I discovered that when I tried to install 3 and it overwrote 3.5
I already know how to run multiple versions at the same time, and installing one version on the computer and one on Portable Apps isn't really the answer I am looking for, as I'd like to carry my own configurations of both versions with me between home and work.
Thanks for any help!
just change the default install directory when you run the installer.....
let one stay default X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\
change the other to X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable35\ or something like that

If you start the installer manually (not via the PA menu) then you should be prompted to choose the install path. Then you can choose the folder locations and then have separate ones, like this:
X:\portableapps\firefoxportable3
x:\portableapps\firefoxportable3.5
You will then have two firefox portable icons in the menu, you will have to open one to see which one it is, by going to help, about Mozilla Firefox
and then right click in the relevant icon in the menu and rename it.
