Hi all,
I really like the features of PNotes Portable, but I would like to have the notes (or groups) to open automatically when I run the program on startup.
I've been looking on this forum, the one at sourceforge, and I've been searching the Net.
So far, no luck. I updated to the latest v5.0112 version in the hope there was a solution.
Sorry if this has been asked, and solved already.

Hi, I'm the "developer" of PNotes Portable. If you wish certain notes to be loaded at start up,just leave those visible. If you want some to be hidden, hide those.
I'm using 5.0.112 and when I start PNotes, the ones I left visible last time show.

..I love your Pnotes, and thanks for that. With the new version, I throw several new notes on the screen and when I click 'Hide all', it prompts me for a new name for each note before it closes. Is there a way to just hide them all.
It says the note has changed and gives me an opportunity to rename each one, and its a little bit of a pain to have to 'hide all' and then close each one individually. I had to go back to an older version to get away from that.
Thanks,
Raleigh
The option for "silent" saving of new notes while hiding them is added to the next version. Thank you for suggestion and be patient for a couple of months
is there a way could make them not stay on top? So, I can alt+tab to make them show up. Mostly, I would like to be able to call a group of notes to the foreground, then hide them again. Making them load on startup would be nice too
Please?

Mmmm... I think Preferences --> Behavior --> uncheck 'New note always on top'.
And 'Show Group/Hide Group'.
...for the feedback. I can easily use an older version and wait a while, now that I know you are aware.

Hi Oliver,
Thanks for the reply.
As you can see from the Subject line, it works now.
Don't know why it didn't work as it quite obvious now.
But I have the app running from a network location, on a Vista64 workstation. It didn't work as expected, so I finally posted my problem here.
After your reply I tried it a couple of times, but still no luck.
Then I tried it to run on my W7RC 32 bit laptop. And for some oddball reason it worked straight away. I tried quiting and starting a couple of times, but every time the notes came back after starting PNotes.
I switched back to my Vista64 pc, and for some strange reason they popped up straight away.
So... problem solved, and maybe this will help you too.
