How should I update/replace the Standard build of PortableApps.com Platform and Suite

Should I install on top of (and over-write) the existing installation at
H:\PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu.

H:\PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exe is dated 20/11/2006,
and Readme.txt says it is version 1.0 and copyright 2006.

Regards
Alan

Yeah

The installers are made to be installed over an existing installation and only replace the files that are invovled with the program. (I read that someplace somewhere on this website but I forget where).

Install to H:\

Grab a new version and install it to H:\

Pretty old!

Wow! 2006!

That's pretty old - you should certainly consider getting a newer version - 3 old years is a hell of a long time for a computer program!

Alternativly you might want to hold off - if the version you've got works OK (and if you've had it that long it must do!) and wait for v2.0 to be released. It's currently only in beta - i.e. still in development testing - so I don't know how lnog that will be though.

Thank you every one.

I have now installed on-top of the old version and it all works well.
Looking forward to v2.0

1.52 was good but 2.0 is way improved

So stable in fact you'd not know it's "beta".

Really just more features rather than changes.
