What traces does FF leave?

Hi there,
I just trief the portable FF and I think it's great! Nice work. Smile

I have a question though, which seems not to be answered in the FAQs. Does portable FF leave any traces on the PC it's used? If yes, what kind of?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

nope

FFP leaves not traces on the pc, all settings and profile items are located within the applications folder structure. Hence, the portability of it, everything stays with you.

Thanks. I asked because 7zip

Thanks.
I asked because 7zip portable does add a registry setting and I wasn't sure if FireFox might also modify the PC or leave any traces.

7-zip Portable Handles It

7-Zip does indeed use the registry. But the launcher handles it so that when you exit 7-Zip Portable, the local PC is just as it was before.

traces in history of InternetExplorer

PFF works great.
But it does leave my history in the history folder of IE v6.
Even if it is closed during the usage of PFF.
Is there a solution to prevent this?

Nope

It will only do that if you use the IETab plugin, for instance, which simply runs IE inside FF. Firefox history is completely independent of IE. Always has been. And it's disabled in FF Portable, anyway.

Only thing I can think of that may cause this is spyware.
