I like the idea of importing a PDF file into OpenOffice as per
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport
I assume that as standard is not portable.
Is there, or will there be, a portable version please.
Regards
Alan

Download the OXT file, and in your Portable install, select Tools -> Extension Manager then click Add...
Browse to the OXT file, select Only for Me, and there you go
That was easier than I expected.
Please advise, will this same technique add any official extension without degrading portability ?
or could you give guidelines upon how to determine if further guidance is needed for any particular extension.
Regards
Alan
For the most part yes. However cannot guarantee for every extension. There are 100's so can't say we know how they all behave. However I use about 12 including the PDF Import one and they all maintain portability.
Hope that helps

not only did this work, but looking over the list of Extensions I found a Scottish Gaelic Dictionary which may be VERY useful for a friend of mine!!!
