FreeCommander Portable file associations integration

I wish for FreeCommander Portable to open files using an appropriate portable software if available.

Since the specification doesn't include file types that the program opens I'm not sure how can this be done for every app easily but it can be implemented for some for now.
(I imagine when you can just add a line like filetypes="doc;odt" and such to the appinfo and any file browser apps will automatically have the appropriate associations. (To handle conflicts will probably require a config dialog perhaps with also the ability to add new file types and new apps the dont do this automatically)

Such a spec addition can also be user for portable file associations for the computer itself later on.

There's a thing that does that, called PortableFileAssociator in the Beta Testing forums.
If you want an alternative explorer, then I would suggest the lovely Xenon, which has Portable Associations:
