I'd love to move to portable Firefox beta 2.0, but I don't want to lose all my settings from 1.5: can I safely upgrade the to 2.0, even if it is a major release, using the "Upgrading Firefox Portable" hints?
Thanks!

I think so anyway.

Ok, thankyou, I'll try & let you know ASAP.
You may encounter some extensions that only work in 1.5 and don't work in 2.0 (and don't have an update online yet). This is because extensions changed a bit between releases and, since 2.0 isn't actually released yet (it's just a beta), some extension authors haven't updated their extensions. You can check by heading to addons.mozilla.org and seeing if your favorite extensions list 2.0 as a supported release.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I've seen extensions that only work on 2.0
Thankfully, I just downloaded Firefox Portable 2.0 to try them.
