Support for Freeware PortableApps

Firstly many thanks for the wonderful platform you have made and supported and all the work people have made in creating all the apps over the years.

As you all know supporting an app is a major amount of work in itself. In regards for FREEWARE apps would it not be a good idea to have a contact person for each app. This contact person would automatically receive all support request from users regarding their freeware app from their forum thread (or other support environments).

This would have a number of advantages.

1. No work would be needed by PortableApps moderators and staff for supporting and testing FREEWARE apps.
2. The FREEWARE app producers would have a direct support channel to their portable app users.
3. Likewise users would have just one unified location to connect with the FREEWARE producers instead of having to navigate each different website.
4. It would cement Portableapps.com as THE website for portable apps. Ie. THE Hub.
Which would enable things to be on message according to the portable apps community.

Regards,
Robotrobbie

Ps One last thing I would suggest you have a minimum spec for FREEWARE portable apps. For quality reasons amongst others.
Such as Icons (sizes placement ?)
Compressed Executables and libraries.
Temporary files. location etc....
Release timetables. To prevent FREEWARE producers from hogging the release tickers/lists etc... Also to encourage the producers to fix any existing problems.
--- i.e max 20 a year and min 2 a year

They must comply to the PAF

They must comply to the PAF Specification to get accepted into the listing.

Too many bridges you can burn
Too many tables you can't turn
Don't wanna live my life in the real world
