Addon Bork: Recovery?

I was trying out 3 new addons and when I restarted Firefox Portable, it crashed. I tried launching it again. Crashed. I can normally solve things on my own, but this one has me stumped. There's no Safe Mode in Portable Firefox (or I can't find it), so I can't figure out which addon is borking it. What do I do?

My Portable Firefox was an older version. I think it was 3 something. It runs on a separate hard drive in my computer, along with other Portable Apps. I'm also trying to figure out how to grab all my bookmarks in case I can't recover. You might as well bonk me for forgetting to backup everything before I tried those addons.

-safe-mode

Just start it with the command-line argument -safe-mode (run it from Command Prompt), or if you don't want to try that, copy Other\Source\FirefoxPortable.ini to the same directory as FirefoxPortable.exe and edit the "AdditionalParameters=" line to "AdditionalParameters=-safe-mode". Then delete FirefoxPortable.ini when you're done so that it won't continue to run in safe mode.

Okay. Thank you. I will try it and report back if I had success or failure.

It worked. Thank you so much!

It worked. Thank you so much! The clear instructions were much appreciated.

I found the add-on that was crashing it and uninstalled it. I'll be letting that addon developer know about it.

What addon?

What addon was causing your crash? I'm interested because my FF Portable keeps having unresponsive script errors, probably caused by an addon...

I don't know, but mine slows

I don't know, but mine slows down. I reinstall, and it speeds up, then slows down. I reset my profile, and it was nice and quick. Then it slows down. I think NoScript messes with it badly.

I sure hope not, I heavily

I sure hope not, I heavily rely on NoScript for safety...
What version of Firefox are you using?

(If the problem's reproducible, I can stick a post on the NoScript forum for you)

Latest.

Latest.

It seems to be reproducible, as far as slowing down. It got so bad that I tried clearing out my entire profile and rebuilding it. I only run about 5 extensions. NoScript, TabMixPlus, and Download Status bar. Firefox installed the java quick starter and I have xmarks disabled.

It worked fine, but started slowing down again. It seems to occur only with the portable.

Weird

That's weird, I can't seem to reproduce it... I've got probably a dozen addons, and my Fx is still pretty quick.
Are you sure it's NoScript and not, say, TabMix Plus?
I have Download Statusbar and Java Quick Starter as well, so I doubt those would be causing trouble... that leaves TMP. Maybe try disabling it and see if that fixes your problem...

It may be tabmixplus. I've

It may be tabmixplus. I've noticed a slight slow down using it. Generally happens when I get alot of tabs. I really only need something that will just make the tabs turn into rows, and not make a big huge row.
