Thanks to prapper for the first version of his Foxit launcher. And thanks to Foxit Corporation for repackaging permission.

Excellent! I love this program. Ever since Adobe's software started getting bloated (around version 6, or so), I dropped them for the likes of Sumatra and FoxIt. But FoxIt has the features I've come to love in a PDF viewer. Great work guys.

Glad to see this app.

Under 'Features', did you mean to say:
"[T]he following is a list..."

Edit: Thanks

Been using FoxIt for a while, even the free version is more than good enough for my purposes. I always had SumatraPDF as a "backup" application but to be honest, FoxIt was always my first choice, very robust (and yet small).

It's amazing to see how corporate companies are catching on to PA.c. I guess this can only be a good thing. This is another application I can check off my "apps to install" list.

thank john for ask foxit corp. for repack. but can repack pdf x change into paf archive? and foxit launcher can save my license code? thank again. . . in paf installer please add more feature to can pack more than one app.

Andibad, i interesting about this portable app website and great can save all file to my flashdisk 2-8 gb and no file in host computer, i like that.

Should the portable version of Foxit be adding a filetype designation? As soon as I launched the app for the first time, my PDF files suddenly showed the Foxit icon... and the filetype was described as a "Foxit PDF Document."

Double-clicking to open the PDF did NOT cause Foxit to open; I am simply concerned that the program is stealing (or assigning, if not already described in the registry) the filetype designation.

Foxit itself will do this while running if there is no PDF assocation already, or if it is not complete. The launcher cleans it up on exit.

Good to know... but at least in my case, the launcher didn't clean it up.

My system still describes PDF files as "Fixit PDF Document" and uses the Foxit icon, although it is not treated as a "known file extension" (that is, I still see the .pdf file extension, although I have known file extensions hidden).

Please post a note in the forums with all the details so that it can be further researched. It does sound like a bug on your system, unless you told Foxit to become the default PDF reader.
