Foxit Reader Portable Internet Search Not Working.

Foxit 3.1 has a internet search feature that will launch the default browser in the default search engine with the search terms you high lighted in a PDF in Foxit. This isn't working for me in the portable version.

[self bump removed by mod JTH. bumping is frowned upon.]

Bumping? Hmmm, not my intention but I would like to know if anyone has got the search feature to work so I can determine if it's a bug in the app or something I'm doing wrong. Have you got it to work for you? You took the time and made the effort to delete my post it seems to me it would have been just as easy to answer.

WFM

I just tried it and it worked for me. It launches Windows' default browser.

More information on bumping is listed in our Forum Guidelines.

OK thank you. I cannot get it

OK thank you. I cannot get it to work for me. I tried high lighting a word and selecting the search icon that pops up, I tried using the search side panel and it's internet search option, and I tried entering a search term in the tool bar search field and selecting the search button on the toolbar and none of them worked for me.

Just for some more info I also tried the zip version of Foxit from their site and it doesn't work in that either.

Local?

Does it work in the local version on that particular PC? It could be a PC issue. Perhaps the default browser isn't properly registered. I think it's just a ShellExec call within Foxit, so it should just work as long as the PC can handle URLs properly.

Great

Glad it's working for you now (and glad it's not an issue with Foxit).
