Being Thanksgiving Day it just makes sense to publicly say what we are all thankful for.
So when y'all post say something that you are thankful for and what you would do without your item.
I know that I'm thankful for Open Source software and all yous that keep it up to date. Because without it I wouldn't be able to show off my mad skills because I work with school computers 90% of the time and you can't just download any program you need to get the job done, and portable apps as put that power in to my thumb drive so I can my work in on time and be compatible with home. Knowing myself I would probably become some great and evil :evil: hacker with out Open Source. I don't know how I would do it though

Well, with my home computer dying and them putting rookies in my lap to babysit at work, and being 5 minutes away from failing NaNoWriMo with only 40,090 words (for those two reasons), I haven't been very thankful lately.
However, I just got a picture message from my kid sister out in CA, she just had her baby, so I'm thankful for my niece. And I got a new wallpaper on my phone, guess what it is? Yeah. *nods*
And of course I'm thankful for my beautiful wife and the support from both of our families. Neither of us have in-laws we wish we didn't. So that's good.
And thankful I still have a job... not to mention one that lets me use most of the Internet with Portable Firefox.
I have 4 nieces and a nephew, love'em to death.
Just visited a friend who's terminally ill with cancer, so I'm thankful for my
family and health.

It's an old person joke
It means that I'm 45 years old. If you're over 30, and you don't want to say your age, you just say "I'm 18 with X years experience. X being how many years over 18 you are. Someone who is 20, would be 18 with 2 years experience, for example.
So I would Be 18 with -3 years experience. (I'm lacking points here, can someone lend a hands)

I'm thankful for the whole USB drive/Portable Apps movement. Nothing has benefited my technology usage more. (except maybe my DVR)

And nothing has made my life so easy, now all I need to do is make a roll up computer and I wont need my USB drive so bad,
