they boot from a thumb drive. its actualy quite easy to disable USB booting via the bios. it is not really "portable" in the sense of what this site's goals are in mind. we are not a OS site but a site that deals with software that will run on primarly Windows or linux via wine.
Also do a search next time. this request has been done many times before.
