I know this doesn't have to do with Portable Apps. But ever since I updated U3 it has had a new skin. Would anyone happen to know how to revert it back to the original blue skin. The new skin is sort of bland and ugly to me and I think it was a bad move but thats my opinion.
Also does anyone know if you remove the U3 software from the cd emulator. Is it possible to reinstall it? Since I want to try to install a new autorun launcher but I don't want to try it if I can't get U3 back.
I think it depends on the manufacturer. In my big pile of flash drives... I have a Geek Squad and an Intuit U3 drive I got for testing and dvelopment... neither of which can be updated. Sandisk drives can be updated and, sometimes, you can uninstall and reinstall (it's not officially supported to uninstall and reinstall, but some folks have been able to). There have been a handful of reports of uninstalls not going quite right, too. Other manufacturers, I don't know...
Yeah I am currently using a Sandisk Cruzer Micro512 Flash Drive. Would you happen to have one with the updated software and know how to revert the skin? Because the silverish gray looking a bit 'bleh'.
I'm pretty sure you can't. The skin is built into U3. So, you're stuck with the brushed metal look now. Even if you uninstalled and reinstalled, it would give you the current one and not the old one.
Awww, I hope if they update U3 again they will add an option to make the skins changable. Would they happen to have a forum where I can ask them? A link would be nice.
Edit:Would you happen to have the old U3 blue launcher still on one of your drives. I want to try to attempt something like in this tutorial 'https://portableapps.com/forums/support/u3apps' and install the old version of U3.
