Why is the process started by FirefoxPortable.exe (3.5.2) sometimes FIREFOX.EXE and sometimes firefox.exe? It is in both cases the same executable X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\firefox.exe

What version of Windows are you using?
I'm on XP Pro, with FF 3.5.6, and I've never seen anything other than firefox.exe (for the record, I've used FF Portable since 2.0.0.20)
Are you sure that's Firefox and not a malicious process posing as Firefox?

XP Home. I have run virus checks etc. I am using FF, but of course it could still be FF plus something which is running.
