Merry Christmas, Gringoloco! Merry Christmas, everyone!
Just noticed the VLC taskbar icon - pretty cool! (Especially cool since the icon apparently changed based on the date!)

We phish you a merry christmas!
We phish you a merry christmas!
We phish you a merry christmas...
and a Spam filled New Year!
LOL.
Let's hope that doesn't happen to anyone...

Date-based Easter eggs, I think, are the most common. Any app you use regularly (and any app that can be loaded in a negligible amount of time) should be checked if you like. I know another one I have is Crimsonland -- not an official app, just one that "just works" when the app dir is copied over... the main menu snows and "Happy Holidays!" gets printed across the top. ImgBurn (sadly not an official app either) probably does since it has a MOTD in the status bar. There was a program I used to use that was almost as bad as Google for reminding you about holidays, but I can't remember what it was. But it told you when it was Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, and a few others.
Anyway, it's not Christmas on the East Coast (USA) for another 6 minutes, but Merry Christmas 6 minutes early!
Did anyone run VLCPortable today and see the icon in the upper left of the program itself is the normal orange cone with a Santa hat on it? (I just did )
