When I begin to type in an email address no email addresses are offered up to complete the address. The address book is there and I can select addresses from the book and choose write and they show up in the blank email.
In a perhaps related issue, the Add-on "Quickfile" pops up its dialog box without problem but doesn't find any folder names as you type them in.
Anyone seen similar problems? Running under WinXP.
Any advice on reverting from 3.0 to 2.0.0.23?

If things don't seem to work right (and especially if you suspect add-ons) the first step is to run without the add-ons and see if that cures the ills.

I'd like to do that but haven't been able to get TB into safe mode. There is another thread on that issue.
Have you tried to disable them? Tools > Add-Ons > Click on the "disable" button of each one.

a new profile using that folder, but delete the Extensions folder as well as the extensions.rdf file. If using portable, copy profile folder, rename original to whatever else, then rename new folder to "profile", delete the same items I said above.
Inelegant. But a good idea.
Found the problem. Unrelated to addons.
Options - Addressing - Autocompletion was unchecked. Don't know why. Works now.

OOPS! Spoke too soon. When I re-enabled my addons, autocomplete stopped working again. So I had to go though them one by one. Turned out to be one of my favorites, QuickFile. I guess I will have to learn to live without it unless I can find a workaround.
