hi all. i was using songbird portable with a really annoying bug and was eagerly awaiting the update. I just upgraded to find the bug still exists.
I'm using this on windows xp sp3. I'm using litestep as my shell just in case it matters. The problem is that when have it running and minimize the app, then maximize it again, I cannot minimize it unless I move the app before minimizing it again.
So again to reiterate the problem
1. Open songbird
2. minimize. it does minimize
3. maximize
4. minimize again. it does not minimize. however, if you move the app window and then minimize it works.
Now I haven't tried Songbird app directly to see if this bug exists. I've always used the portable version. Also, no other app has the issue. iTunes also doesn't use the standard windows elements but I can maximize and minimize it just fine.
Any help is appreciate
I'd suggest trying the local version (which you can then uninstall) and see if it exhibits the same behavior on that particular PC. And be sure you're doing a fresh install without add-ons like minimize to tray.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I just tested and Songbird performs as it should, maximizing and minimizing as expected, and I'm willing to bet it might actually have something to do with the litestep shell. Though I would recommend as John did, to try the local version as well to see if it still exists.
