Hi,
Recently I use Toucan quite often and it's very inconvenient that every times I want to change the job name, I have to create a new job and re-assign all the settings. I think a button to change a job's name wouldn't be hard, and it would really help usability of Toucan. What do you think?
I am still not happy with the way the job saving and loading works and I will make sure that renaming is possible when I next shuffle it all around, thanks for the suggestion.
As a suggestion, why not use XML?
there is a built in ini parser in the library I use, ini files are generally a lot more human readable too and they are what is used on the rest of the site!
For advanced users only:
With Toucan NOT running, manually edit the jobname in the ini file to "rename" it. Certainly not elegant, but quite functional.
Used to be in older versions of Toucan, you could call up a job, and then save it to a new jobname, but Toucan now (properly) cleans up the loose ends before allowing a new job.
Of course, a person could manually recreate the exact same job under a new jobname, but that's not really renaming it, is it?
