Mobility - WM6, Android, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry

So I have been thinking about some things including mobility and virus problems.

Now lies the problem of I have plugged my device into a system and the Autorun is automatically removed due to system policy, and it is out of my control.

So now, I got to thinking about ways to prevent this. Some USB devices have a switch to make them read only. This is fine if you have that physical switch and do not need to make changes to any files or copy anything onto the device.

So I looked into the partitioning of devices and setting of different things (read-only) and I realize that maybe it could be done with a mobile device. So I thought what would be the best way to do this...here is my brainstorming:

We will more likely carry a mobile device such as (our phones)WM6, Android, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry.

These devices can act as a USB card reader, also they can perform file changes directly. So it may be useful to be able to select certain parts/apps of Portableapps.com from the mobile device depending what one might need. Also being able to toggle the prevention of writing to the device and optionally having the device act as 2 flash drives 1 read-only and the other write enabled for file transfers.

So using the mobile app for (our phones)WM6, Android, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry, we chose the profile to load, such as our gaming profile that loads the core of Portableapps.com and the game applications but denies write access (cause our friend is not safe in their internet use) now our Business documents are not in jeopardy on our friends device.

Now we are at a clients house with our device but did not bring our laptop and want to "Showcase" so we use portable apps via our mobile device (our phones)WM6, Android, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry, and only load our Business apps and supporting documents while hiding our gamer side from the client, and use a Read-Only setting to prevent the clients computer from making wanted changes. Though we need to get a document from them so we enable the secondary card (which might be a partition on the device or perhaps a completely pseudo card which is actually only a folder.

This would all be done through the mobile device.

Does anyone have any input? Good idea? Bad? Confused as to what I am talking about? Let me know your thoughts.
