Full update hanging 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.0.7

TBP ver 1.5.0.5 PortableApps.com

Notified of Auto-Update.

TB incremental update failed. Then TB tried to do the full update. After 1hr. I had to shut down flash drive so I clicked hide update and then shut down TB and drive.

Restarted TB next time and ver is still 1.5.0.5 and the "Check for Updates" shows that the current update is paused and does not give any cancel or restart update options.

I know John will probably come out with a new version, but I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem or not.

fixed it

I had the same problem when Tbird portable tried to complete the online update to 1.5.0.7. Resolved the situation as follows;

1) Backup your old profile and rename/delete the original thunderbird apps dir.

2) download a new copy of the least version of TB portable and extract to yer USB drive.

3) Launch TB, cancel the account setup wizard, and run through the online update process.

4) Restore thunderbird profile directory.
