hi all,
I've seen today that the StuffIt Expander (freeware) for Mac is now available for Windows.
It can expand more Extensions than 7-Zip or Win RAR and it is very small.

It would be very nice to see a portable Edition the next time.

I see there is a free version as well as the deluxe ($30) now. But, honestly, the file formats it supports over 7-Zip are mostly all outdated and unused these days, so there's no real advantage to it. And Stuffit Free is really limited (you can't extract single files from archives, add single files, browse contents, rename files, etc). 7-Zip Portable can do all that and much more, is under 3MB installed and requires no registration.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
i have to agree with John. the only real advantage is StuffitDeluxe can deal with .dmg files, but sadly those are useless on windows based machines. oh its also not portable for windows because it writes files to the registry and requires those files. The Mac version is similar in a way but in my experience it just recreates the missing files in the Mac, Doesnt do that nicely on windows.
