Does it update to Thunderbird 3.0.1 portable version? This is not published in this site yet.
Effectively it does, yes (as it just patches or replaces the relevant files).
Your menu will still show 3.0 when you hover the mouse over the TB entry, though, unless you manually edit \PortableApps\ThunderbirdPortable\App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini
You can still install the PortableApps 3.0.1 version over the top of it later when it becomes available, if you so wish.

Thank you for the info. I managed to update to 3.0.1 version. But later I will download the publised installer when it will be out.
