Dear forums,
I have upgraded Notepad++ to the newest PA release 5.6.4.
Since then, it wouldn't start any more. The PA.com Notepad++ splash screen comes up, but never disappears unless stopping both processes in the task manager. Notepad++ itself does not appear. Running as administrator does not change this behaviour.
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 Bit. The previous release 5.6.3 worked seamlessly.
What can I do to get NP++ running?

I'd suggest resetting it by removing the install entirely and then reinstalling. You'll lose your settings, but that should fix it.

Windows 7 64 Professional.
Change install dir, clean everithing doesn´t work.
I see the two process related running in task Manager but nothing shows.
On XP VMachine works fine with the same installation folder (copy / paste).
Working with version 5.4.3 on 7 works fine.

Like all others, it works fine here on Win7 64bit. So something else is causing it on your PC. What's the installpath? What else is running? Have you tried regular local Notepad++ to ensure it works properly on that machine?

I tried to install regular 5.6.4 and the problem is the same, although n++ 5.6.1 Portable works fine, maybe some of the new plugins are blocked by some disabled service that i have on both PC´s.
I already change the install path several times and the problem continues.
Thanks for reply i´m now convinced that the problem is on my configurations.
Tested on seven 32 bits doesn´t work, too.
Today i tried to install the new version 5.6.6 and still have the problem.
After renaming plugin directories found that the problem is caused by the presence of the lightexplorer.dll in app\notepad++\plugins directory.
Tried to replace by dll version 1.6 and 2.0 still have the problem.
Also try to substitute in app\notepad++_ansi\plugins, and switched between dll versions on both directories without success.
The solution was to delete the plugin from app\notepad++\plugins and now works fine.
