Customize PA Platform menu

I had a question about the PA Platform Menu. Is there anyway to customize the Platform Menu. Like on top of or instead of listing only portable apps, allowing a user to add specific files contained in the drive (whether it be docs, videos, or audio files) to the list. And customizing the Interface color scheme. If no feature like this exists, could one be developed?

Hi and welcome to

Hi and welcome to PortableApps.com!

There's a way to add other apps to the Menu, but I'm not sure about other filetypes. Try this: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#addingotherapps

Changing the interface colors can be done with themes; you can find many, many themes here.

Hope this helps!

You can also use it to add links to any file.

Thank you

Thank you so much for your replies, and your time. I'm anxious to try these out.
Oh, and any way to remove apps from the list?

Depends.

If you want to remove an app, as in uninstall it, right click the app, and click uninstall.

If you want to keep the app, but not have it listed in the menu, right click it, and hit "hide app"

To add other files to the list...

To add other files to the list you can use Portabilizer.
Download at:
http://download.softpedia.com/dl/df481bc0ea6c657b25ad2df30fb22ac2/4b70cf...

Just enter a name for the shortcut, specify the file you want to create a shortcut to, and possibly add an alternate icon and it will create a shortcut that you can put in a folder in the PortableApps folder on your drive.
Since the shortcuts it creates are executables, PAM recognises them.

Hope this helps Smile

It should redirect...

It should redirect, but here's the link to the download page:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Portable-Applications-Port...

It does require an icon, but you can just add any. The best would probably be the usb.ico at X:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\.
