Firefox Portable will not launch - Returns Failed to Intitialize properly (0xc00000005) upon execution

The firefox portable current edtion oan previous editions, install ok on my USB Flash drive but when launching the app I recevie "Failed to Intitialize properly (0xc0000005)" upon execution.

I have tried installs multiple times (Erased and foramtted USB flash drive) each time) with no success. I even copied over the entire structure of ff portable from a working flash device. same issue. I also tried a second flash device, same issue.

Tried to run in WIN 98 Comaptibiltiy also
Any suggestions
Thanx Dzj

Very Generic Error

Could be any number of things:
Faulty RAM or other hardware
Bad drivers
Malicious software preventing it from running

I'd run a few system diagnostics and updates if I were you.

Generic error but specific device at fault

I am sure RAM or PC HW is not the problem. I have tried the ff install and .exe on multiple PC's. The same error happens. The only HW in common is the USB FLASH device. The Manufacturer, PNY, of course is not interested in the fact that apps will not run on an otherwise functional flash drive. They only test devices for the ability to r/w & store data.

So I will keep plugging away on this curious problem. Any other suggestions would be great.

The FLash drive works fine except for trying to run apps on it. I tried a different app other than ff and I get an error also. If anyone can read err files, below is an error generated when trying to run a simple utility I installed on the flash drive called CPU-Z. The error is returned when I try to run the .exe.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"??>

Drive

If it's multiple PCs, then it is indeed a drive error. Try installing FFP on the desktop of an affected PC and ensure it works.

Also try scanning the drive for errors and possibly reformat it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
