Sorry, but it's not going to happen anytime soon, if at all (which I seriously doubt). Adobe's license terms are prohibitive, IIRC, and Acrobat sticks its tentacles through the system, making it hard to do anything at all with.

He wasn't talking about Acrobat, he was talking about flash player (you know, to play flash stuff online)--which can already easily be added to Firefox or Chrome Portable. For Firefox I believe there's already an installer posted somewhere here to add it to FFP automatically...
I was doing some research on Acrobat vulnerabilities at the same time I was posting here, and got everything screwed up. My bad.
Perhaps a mod would be willing to delete my post to spare others confusion?

yeah, I like looking for stuff like that. My idea of a good time is to fire up Sandboxie, go find a rogue antivirus or malicious PDF, download it, let it run, and see what it does. Obfuscated JavaScript is something I'm especially fond of, and there sure is a lot of it for me to work with! Not your everyday user's good time, but I sure love doing it

Hehe, yeah, I'd play with those, but I'm forever worried that they'd get back into my system. I'm more into network security, I guess (not that I'm any good). I like getting into things I shouldn't I guess.

Tim and I have had some nice talks, but he never mentioned he was into stuff like that. I'll have to bring that up next time; thanks for telling me!
If you use Sandboxie, and are careful when exploring the sandbox in a non-sandboxed Explorer window, you're safe. I've never seen Sandboxie breached yet (although I have a gut feeling that someday, a virus is going to figure out how to penetrate SB, and that's the last you guys will see of me until I get my system re-imaged and re-set up).
Network security is pretty cool, but I haven't tried doing much with it. The furthest I've gone is using Wireshark to look at some network traffic, and I didn't understand much of what I saw. Maybe later, when I've got more time (between school, development, PAF'ing, and active membership on 4 forums, my time is pretty darn full), I'll go back and take another look.

Yeah, I'd be leery with Sandboxie in any case, since it's installed directly on your host OS. If I had weird habits like yours, I'd feel much safer doing all that stuff in a virtual machine. If you enable undo disks you can then undo it and start all over again.
I'm trying to get my Dad to give me an old PC, so I can install Ubuntu + VirtualBox on it (I defy a Windows virus to run on Ubuntu w/o Wine); until that happens, though, I have just one computer. You wouldn't believe all the stuff I do on this one PC: school work, portabilizing apps, s/w developing, posting on forums, IRC, malware analysis. About the only thing I haven't done on here is gaming.
I'd use Portable VBox, except that it's a bit of a hit-or-miss thing; I try to avoid using it as much as possible, although there's no choice when I'm using a Linux guest.

You could always use MS Virtual PC...
As always, portable is nice, and MSVPC is hardly portable.
I'll just keep using Sandboxie for now, I think.
