flash player 10 on system, but not on pap ff

hey all

I have 2 installs of FF, one regular full clean version and a portable version that has all my addons for dev etc.

I have flash player 10 working ok in the full install. but I still get the adobe prompt to install if I use the portable version.

Have tried using the flash installer on the PA FF page but it gives me a script error when it trys to install. (downloaded ok)

I copied the plugins folder across fro#m the full to portable but still no joy...

any hints?? Thanks Smile

Try 2 things

Ok. First of what comes to mind, if you have NoScript add-on, then you must "Allow" or "Temporarily allow" the website from which the flash application is being downloaded and ran from (it's not necessarily the same as the site you are visiting). For example, to watch videos on Youtube, you must enable both youtube.com and ytimg.com

Second, (I know you said you did it, but still) try copying your plugins either to the Data\plugins folder of FirefoxPortable (the preferred place), or to the App\firefox\plugins folder (but then you'll probably need to copy them there after every install of FirefoxPortable)... The plugin for Shockwave Flash is named NPSWF32.dll. I think that's the one needed... Smile

Good luck
