[Fixed] Starting PortableApps hides everything on my desktop

Since v1.6 and also in the 2.0 beta 4 I'm experiencing a strange problem:

When I start PortableApps everything on my desktop disappears (garbage bin, my computer, other icons). Then I start my apps and close PortableApps. When I close PortableApps everything on my desktop reappears.

Environment: LaCie ItsAKey 16Gb usb, OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64bit.

Sorry if this has been posted before...

[Moved from Beta Testnig to Support, PortableApps.com Platform and added "[Fixed]" to title - mod Chris]

Options - Hide Desktop Icons

Options - Hide Desktop Icons, uncheck this in your PortableApps.com Menu. It's a feature. You seem to have inadvertently turned it on.

Nope

The default has always been to have it disabled. It's been an option since 1.5. The GUI for it was added with 1.6. The default is still disabled.

If You have changed the default at some time in the past ...

... this change will be still available in every new version, cause You personal profile and settings will be used be the new version untill You delete them or install the new version clean to another location.
