FirefoxPortable save downloaded files

Ok I realy like FirefoxPortable and this website too. But since I am using FirefoxPortable everywhere i always have download problems, like my portable hard drive has different letters ( E:\, F:\, G:\ ) and so on. So when i download very large files, say gamespot's demos i am very limited to where i can keep downloading them couse if drive letter is different i loose all my downloads and forced 2 use desktop as my download folder.

Is it possable maybe some kind of hack that would basicly use somthing like ( ..\..\FirefoxPortable ) and save all the downloads there instead of browsing to a specific directory.

Well dats it, any ideas ?? Thanks ¿¿¡¡ !!??

Addendum

I'd like to add one more thing to this request: have Firefox stop creating a Downloads folder in %USERPROFILE%\My Documents.

options

just go to options, downloads and set a folder on your stick there. Call for example downloads.
You will not loose anything, I am using that all the time this way. The path is changed when new drive letter is assigned correctly, you just have to confirm it before downloading, just one click.
FF will remember the last used folder and will use it next time again.
So one time I set it manually to my donwload folder on the stick \Documents\donwload\ , do one download there and this remains even when the letter changed on other computer. From now all downloads go not to desktop or somewhere else, but to this folder until I change it and use other folder.

I second that

Smile I use this method as well, never had any problems with it Smile Exactly the same configuration (X:\Documents\Downloads\), but it should work with any other configuration as well, as long as the path is pointed to the USB flash drive FFP is on...

Cheers Smile
