It's a known problem which was supposed to be fixed with the latest McAfee definitions update.
Is your McAfee installation fully updated?

Gimp files detected as malware by AV

I got the same problem here with McAfee Enterprise 8.7i (engine 5400.1158, Dat file 5920.0, Artemis! low):

L:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\gimp\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\file-glob.exe reported by McAfee with Heuristic (Artemis!) and other AV:
http://www.virustotal.com/fr/analisis/6e58962015f491d55f83a120ccc85784dd...

L:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\gimp\lib\gimp\2.0\modules\libcolor-selector-wheel.dll reported by McAfee with Heuristic (Artemis!) and other AV:
http://www.virustotal.com/fr/analisis/b43b0a5d1a2c3bc62d20fe5af303fbb0da...

L:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\gimp\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\contrast-normalize.exe reported by McAfee with Heuristic (Artemis!) and other AV:
http://www.virustotal.com/fr/analisis/08afe200f335770adca9d82cb7312736c7...

So the dat files do not detect these but the Artemis! heuristic module does.

I have reported this to McAfee. Please do the same via your support contacts or any in-program "Report False Positive" buttons.
