New In This Release

This release updates Task Coach to the latest release (release notes).

Task Coach Portable Development Handoff

Task Coach Portable is now packaged directly by Frank Niessink and Jerome Laheurte, the Task Coach developers. Please join me in thanking them for supporting PortableApps.com, the open standard in portable software! If you're so inclined, you can even make a small donation to them by clicking the button on the Task Coach Portable homepage.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Task Coach Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

To mark that Task Coach has been available for five years now, we call this release version 1.0. This release adds a calendar viewer for tasks, partial drag and drop support for Mail.app under Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard, and configurable icons.

1.0.1 is available as a portable app on the website.
As the author is packaging the app himself.
I think that it would be wise to put a link on Task Coach's homepage,
Something to the effect of "For latest portable version - click here"
And it would be linked to http://www.taskcoach.org/download_for_windows.html which is the download site on the author's homepage for all windows builds both portable, and not-so portable.

So that the user can get the latest 'bug fix' which maybe only available on the author's site just do to sync issues.
