Is there a portable version of putty for win32 that is verified to be secure?

Well

Depends on your definition of "verified".
It is basically just the original modified to not use the registry. I would say it is as safe as the original. I use it all the time for access to SourceForge and to access Liberta-Project.org

The project is open source, so feel free to go through the code and check for yourself.
