1. I am unclear on the licensing so not sure it can be legitimately made portable however for your need I found a few things to consider.
I have written to the creator of the program to try to get permission to make it portable.
if I can get clarity on the license I would be willing to package it in a portable app
I will include license so maybe some one can decipher it?

Thank you for try. I think this type av portable program will be usable for different platform also.
I have try to make it portable after tips in Tingamblog forum but it will always use Document an settings.
How big would the userbase be for a product like this?
I don't quite get it because it says it's a blog, but it's not really a blog. It's a webpage editor. A blog kinda necessitates comments and community participation (along with trackback links, etc), none of which will work with a static HTML site, so this thing can't make a blog. And seeing how setting up a blog is free at blogger and dozens of other sites, I'd think this product used to serve a specific niche, but that niche is going away.

Around 50 messages in 10 different setup takes 10 meg on USB-stick.
Only one is on a open website. Björn-bloggen. Most notes is removed and not used today.
I only interested av a good portable blog. Ar all other in portableapps. I have not found any other small blog program than Tingamablog. I hope it will be one in this eminent site!
Sorry for bad English.

There are other blog clients which I think serve a more general purpose; one I've used before is Zoundry Raven (I used it just before it became open source). It's become fairly stagnant, but there is still some activity. And it's a very good product (though it has some minor issues). Plus it's fairly easy to make portable (especially now with PAL). I might take another look at it now.
I should probably mention that the reason one like Zoundry Raven serves a more general purpose is that it works with various blog servers, indeed any that support the standard XML-RPC system - WordPress, Drupal, etc. (I've only ever used it with Drupal; it worked well.)

You mentioned this in IRC last night unfortunately I forgot to write it down. I am downloading this as we speak (type) and will see if I can assist in making this portable for the requester.

use tiddlywiki, its kinda blog(you have a blog package and it runs in your browser)
I have test TiddlyWiki and WOAS (Wiki on a Stick) and also use WOAS but it is not a blog, need ping, rss and so on. Wishes is also to accept comments but...
I have looked at thingamablog and the program Chris Morgan mentioned Zoundry Raven. Seeing as there has not been a great deal of interest in a blog program ( no disrespect intended) I have the following thoughts:
Grab the program Chris mentioned. There is an option on installation to run it portablely from a stick. If you create a folder in PA and name it Zoundry and install it there PA will see it and you should be able to run it from the PA Menu. Although it is not in official format it will function quite well.

Just a few notes, Thingamablog is licensed under the GNU GPL (See Project Info on http://sourceforge.net/projects/thingamablog/ ). Also, for a portable blogging client, may I suggest http://wordpress.org or http://wordpress.com and http://PortableApps.com/FirefoxPortable ?
Use the search box! Please!
Its EULA is definitely GPL-incompatible. (See for example "Restrictions on Transfer"; EULA posted above). The last version on SourceForge is 1.1b6, now they're at 1.5.1, after, they say, resurrecting the project.

Why do you want a blogging program, and what do you expect to get out of it?
I ask because, as others have pointed out, you could use Portable Firefox to get to Blogger or WordPress or other blogging sites. If you only want to compose, and send when you're done, there are a couple Firefox extensions for that. Or, you could use Wiki on a Stick (best solution IMHO) to compose, and then copy it straight over to the site at your leisure.
Also, I have to wonder if there's an extension for Thunderbird that lets you send blog entries a la email, and receive comments in the same way.
The only problem with using Thingamablog on a USB stick is its use of "Application Data" for some of its settings. Every other aspect of the program is completely portable. Have a look at this batch file (TAMB2Go) that puts the data there before starting up, and then retrieves it again afterwards.
Might not be perfect, but seems to work.
