Notice: If you are offended by profanity, don't read this post. Click the back arrow or press backspace. You've been warned.

I'm taking a leave of absence from PortableApps.com. Don't worry, PNotes Portable will get updated to 6.0 soon. Geany will also be updated soonish. You should see those sometime Wednesday or Thursday.

This coming week is possibly going to look and feel like hell. This weekend will be hell. Next weekend will feel like hell as I am driving with my mother to pick up my brother and his stuff from dorm life in Ohio and driving back. I'm in Illinois for those that don't know, so it's a 8 hour drive both ways. I'm also heading into finals weeks at college. I don't know what kind of hell the following weeks will present but I'm sure they won't be that much fun.

At any rate, my real life is hitting my quite hard and I need to hit back and try not to drown. I write this post with a saddened heart because I do enjoy my time here.

I'll be gone for 3 weeks, possibly 4 weeks. This means pretty much all PortableApps.com stuff like IRC as well. I'll subscribe to this blog post so that if someone really needs to get ahold of me, they can post here and I'll know.

Looks like another option has to be enabled for me to subscribe to my blog. Well, I guess I'll check it on the weekends then.

I realize that life happens, I just lost my mom, got some medical news I was not happpy with etc. All I can say is goof luck and remember to always follow your path that the creator has set down for you. I will miss you and your assistance as the "newbie" tries to feel his way around, BTW where in Illinois are you? My uncle (deceased) was from Rockford. Email me if you lik it is the one I provided on your website.

I moved from Rockford when I was 8 or 10. I love being in the country.

I was kinda hoping for a little more profanity to be honest.. oh well.. maybe next time. Smile

Good luck in all your endeavors, I hope life leads you down a path that is desirable and fun for you.

Good luck, have fun, beat the crap out of somebody if you fail, and get some interesting stories to tell when you get back! Ok? Smile Bye

My posts are old and likely no longer relevant.

Have a safe trip Smile

If you think you're going to be in a car for a long time, then you haven't gone from Wisconsin to Connecticut and back 4 times in a car (Meaning I spent about 160 hours in the car?) Blum

Good luck with the upcomming month and the finals. Though I don't think you'll have too much trouble with them, considering your a PortableApps.com dev. Smile

Good luck with finals week coming up. I'm in the same boat. I'm actually part of a university partnership, so while I graduate on the university schedule, my classes follow the community college schedule. I graduate May 8 and have papers and tests thru May 18.

May I ask where in Ohio you're headed?

Cedarville. Pretty close to the capital, my brother goes to school there

Good luck, and since everyone's talking about road trips, I'll throw mine out there. Drove from Santa Rosa, CA (95404) to Chocowinity, NC (27817) via I-40. So yeah, no stranger to driving here.

Also, before I read this, the oldest person I know who considers "hell" to be a bad word was my niece, at 7, who loves singing on Rock Band but will refuse to sing any song once she hears that word in it.

Regarding subscription, I have heard of software that will monitor web pages for you and notify you of changes. Haven't tried any. But if you can't do it through PortableApps.com, there are other ways. Maybe one you can put on a flash drive...
