Portable Gedit

I would like to request Portable Gedit. I just started web development (more like, web learning), and I find gedit extremely helpful (it is simple, small, and "colorful" -i.e. can recognize code-).

thanks Smile

From a quick glance

it appears to be Linux only. I could (probably will) be wrong.
Try Notepad++ which is portable "out of the box" so to speak.

I haven't used notepad++,

I haven't used notepad++, but the website suggests that it has two settings files stored locally in %APPDATA%\Notepad++

Is that correct?

Nope

Not if you use the portable version (can't remember if it is a zip or if it is in the installer as well) (that was a lot of 2 letter words :D)
