I've used the application named FolderMatch and like it but it is not a portable app and it cost $30 per copy...
I would like to find a Portable App that does the same thing.
I use it after massive copies... to check to see if everything copied OK.
Or to find which files are different in deep directory structures.
Anybody know of anything that will do this in a Portable App?
Thanks for any help.
Just grab WinMerge Portable from our app directory. It should be what you need. Open source and free.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
You could also use Toucan as well and run a synchronization in preview only mode. That would tell you which files differ between source and destination.
Alternatively, you could use FreeCommander which features "compare" and "syncronization" functionalities. I'm not familiar with these as I've never really used them but they would probably be able to do the job too.
So, between WinMerge and these suggestions you have plenty of options here.
