The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. This program uses a .cfg file to store what program keys it looks up. Should I back this up in case the user adds to it? If this is done, however, the user will have to overwrite the file with his/her changes or manually add the new keys himself/herself when the default .cfg file is updated.Chris and I discussed this, and I'm going to try patching the base app to support a user-defined .cfg file alongside the officially maintained .cfg file.
@Chris I haven't compiled to see if it works yet (I don't yet know of a Pascal compiler anyway), but all I did was change ReadCfg to accept a string parameter sFileName, and instead of hardcode 'keyfinder.cfg' into that procedure, pass that string to the procedure instead from within ProgramInit where it's called, then do it again for 'user.cfg' (or whatever name seems more appropriate). I'll test it myself and then pass it to the devs to see if they want to implement it.
Sounds good to me
