FFP for U3 in Safe Mode

I read alot about solving problems with Firefox by starting it in Safe Mode.

e.g.
Run
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Is there a way to start Firefox for U3 in Safe Mode?

===== 10/05/06 update/bump of question.

I am still hoping someone can answer my question. If the answer is that Firefox for U3 can't be started in safe mode I will accept that. If this is the case perhaps a secondary launcher could be put in the system folder that had this function in a future release of Firefox for U3??

I think this is important because the almost universal first stop for Firefox problems is "start in safe" mode. This is of special importance when Firfox will not start because a bad extenion and it needs to be uninstalled from Firefox.

John H, is there a definitive answer?

It should just be

-safe-mode on the end of whatever runs FFP because the launcher passes it on.
I have no idea how to do that in U3 though.

Manual

You'll have to do it manually. Launch it at least once from the U3 Launchpad to allow my portable launcher to rebuild the profile paths. Then browse to:
?:\System\Apps\3C9F7B3F-D55C-42cd-8537-B878518B73AF\Exec\firefox

From a command prompt, launch Firefox with a command similar to this:
firefox.exe -safe-mode -profile ..\..\Data\profile

That should be just about it. I haven't tested it.

And I deleted your duplicate topic. Even if you don't get a response, you should still not be posting duplicates. Remember, this is open source, not a paid product... so support is a 'best effort'.

Much Thanks

John,

Thank you so much for your response.
I just gave it a quick try and it seems to work.
I knew You could do it if anyone could.

Maybe I could have figured it out if I wasn't spending so much time playing
Sudoku Portable.
