M.S. Works Pgm

I have a lot of stuff made up on Micro soft "works" as a result the dreaded WPS files. I can't seem to get an easy answer on 'OPEN OFFICE' so I've tried to put "Works" on my flash drive with disastrous results. Has anyone out there faced and solved this?...pappajohn

If you have MS Office 2003 or

If you have MS Office 2003 or 2007, you can use this converter to open .wps files, thus you could convert them to .doc and then open them with Open Office.

Otherwise portablizing Works would probably be frowned upon by Microsoft.

RTF and OpenOffice

Haven't used Microsoft Works for over a decade but one would think it should be capable of saving documents in RTF format. These can be viewed and edited in every word processor I've seen. Even WordPad. If you have Spreadsheets in the Works formats then no idea what to use. Have you tried opening the files from Open Office?

EDIT: A quick Google found this article which should help.

How to Open WPS Files in Open Office

Good luck Smile
