Is there a decent OS personal accounting app that could be made portable? Something like MSMoney, and it could even be simpler than that. I'm just looking for something that I can take with me to record debit card transactions, checks, deposits, etc..., and keep a running balance. Account categories would also be a nice feature. It would be great to have something like that as a portable app.
You could have as look at Wikipedias list of portable apps, at this address - I think they list just about everything that is available...

Doesn't llok like there is anything yet available.
Something like Starmoney 5 Pocket?

I don't read German, but from what I can make out, this proggy looks like personal finance software (think "Quicken"), not "acconting" software (think "Quickbooks"), which is what was requested.
While I'm on the topic, is MoneyXPE accounting, or just personal finance?...

EDIT: Sorry, site redesign and I forgot to update the links. Project pages will be up again soon, but there's the corrected download link.
How about Gnucash or KMyMoney or checkbook? I don't remember the name of the app on Kubuntu.
