New to "Apps"

Hello... I'm a newbie in using APPS.

I downloaded and installed the "EraseDrop" App.
Had a very difficult time setting it up.

Finally got it on my Desktop.
Turned off the PC and started it back up.

The apps GONE !!!

Already spent too much time on it.
TRIED to delete it via the ADD/DELETE programs in WINDOWS.

It's not listed !!!!

How can I delete an app ????

Thank You !!!

What Portable Is

With portable apps, you download the portable installer, select where you want it to be placed and then run it from there. Generally, we recommend a PortableApps directory in the root of your drive. So, if you installed it to C:\, it would go to C:\PortableApps\EraserDropPortable. But you can actually install it anywhere you'd like.

As this is a portable app, it will not appear in add/remove programs. Nor will it appear in the Windows Start menu. Portable software is designed to operate independent of those things. Those things are for standard local software only, and require admin rights.

To uninstall a portable app, you just browse to its directory and delete it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks John !!!

Found it and now it's gone !

Too bad because it worked fine.
Just did the disappearing act after I shut down.

Might try it again once I gain more experience using apps on a PC.

a suggestion

you may want to get a nice sized (say 4gig+) flash drive and put your portable apps on that drive. An easy way to start is to

1 download the Portable apps platform and get that installed (your option get the full suite or just the platform)

2 add in whatever other apps you want

AFTER JULY 13 OPTIONAL STEP

update your platform to the new 2.0 beta 5
