USB Drive

Yeah, since you guys know more about USB drives than just about anyone I know, do you guys know of any good ones that I can get. I'd like to get 2GB and one that's decently fast at running these Portable Apps. Also, my price range would be less than $30 if that's even feasible on the market nowadays. So any good deals? Wink

UK people could try DABS.

UK people could try DABS. The "DABSValue" range looks cheap, but user comments seem to suggest a variabillity of quality. Sad

They have a 1 GB drive for £12.50, which is about $24 USD. (without postage) so I'm sure you could find something similar in the US.

The drives are made by Yifang digital. I have no idea about US suppliers.

Well

If they aren't in the US, they probably aren't here in Australia.

my suggestions:

my suggestion:

corsair voyager

i have a corsair voyager 1G for playing around with knoppix

the performance of knoppix is even better for corsair voyager than 52x cdrom

in addition, corsair voyager has 10 years warranty ( it's the case in Hong Kong, i'm not sure whether it is for other places )

2gB for less than $30 might

2gB for less than $30 might not happen. Ebay has a warning page in its flash memory section about knockoff drives and faked capacities. Keep with a reputable dealer no matter what. www.newegg.com has a good reputation for fast shipping and good prices. I bought both my Cruzer 512mB and my Rally 2 gB from there. I'm not certain, but they should ship worldwide.

USD$30 would be ~AUD$18. Not going to happen over hear.
